  7.        REQUIREMENTS
  8.  
  9.     These  drivers  will  work  with  either  512K  or 1Mbyte of accelerator
  10.     memory.  With 512K,  16 colors will be displayed.  On 1Mbyte boards, 256
  11.     colors are displayed.
  12.  
  13.     For 800x600 operation the  8514  ULTRA  ROM  version must be 11330111330
  14.     (v1.3) or newer. Please  contact  ATI  Customer  Support for ROM upgrade
  15.     details. The  ROM  version  label  is  displayed  in  the boot banner on
  16.     system  startup.  This  does  not  apply  to  the Graphics ULTRA/VANTAGE
  17.     products.

  20.         INSTALLING WINDOWS 3.1 DRIVERS
  21.  
  22.         1)   Make  sure you have installed Windows 3.1 on your  hard disk
  23.              prior to using these drivers. Windows MUST be  installed and
  24.              functioning in order to make use of these drivers.
  25.      
  26.         2)   Run SETUP.  This can be  done from  the DOS  prompt  in your
  27.              Windows directory or from within Windows.
  28.  
  29.         3)   Select display.
  30.  
  31.         4)   Select your desired resolution.   Below is a list of drivers
  32.              supplied and  the  resolutions  supported.  In  the process,
  33.              SETUP  may  ask  for a  `Windows Disk'.  You MUST insert the
  34.              Microsoft   Windows  diskette  that SETUP  asks for and  you
  35.              MUST specify a path of A: or B: for this disk.

  44.         5)   Setup will copy the necessary files to your hard disk and
  45.              upon completion, will drop back to the DOS prompt or prompt
  46.              you to restart Windows (depending from where you ran SETUP).

  48.         6)   Run Windows!

  51.         INSTALLING WINDOWS 3.1 DRIVERS ON A NETWORK
  52.  
  53.         1)   Make  sure Windows 3.1  has been installed  on  your network
  54.              prior to using these drivers. Windows MUST be  installed and
  55.              functioning in order to make use of these drivers.

  57.         2)   Run SETUP.  This must be done from  the DOS  prompt  in your
  58.              personal  Windows directory  NOT the main network directory.
  59.              You must run SETUP from DOS and NOT within Windows.

  61.         3)   Select display.

  63.         4)   Select your desired resolution.   Below is a list of drivers
  64.              supplied and  the  resolutions  supported.

  73.         5)   Setup  will  make an  adjustment  to it's configuration  and
  74.              upon completion drop back to DOS.
